Lifetrenz Whitepaper - HIT & EHR Standards, Govt. of India

The Government of India through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH & FW), in August 2013, approved and released the Standards for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Healthcare IT (HIT), and has been driving healthcare facilities to comply with these standards. Currently the Government is ensuring that the Standards are mandatory for all Government Initiatives. However, it is expected that the private players will also be mandated to comply in the next 2 years. Ensure you have a Copy of the standards and use the same to validate if your HIS vendor complies with the standards. If you are planning to procure a new HIS or upgrade your existing one, futureproof your Healthcare IT investment by Procuring an HIS that is Compliant to the standards.
